Financial Independence
Without Borders

Try explaining "geo-arbitrage" to your family, and they'll think you're joining a cult. Tell HR you're moving abroad at 38, and they'll check your temperature.

Planning an Expat FIRE escape is a lonely, spreadsheet-fueled obsession. Welcome to the only network where this level of crazy is completely normal.

The Community

A private network for people actually doing this.

We screen every member before they get in. The goal is the highest-signal community in this space, online and in-person. Because when you leave a career behind and move to the other side of the world, you need more than good advice. You need friends who actually get it.

Still Planning

Pick a country, run your numbers, and stress-test your timeline with people who've already made the move.

Already Abroad

Tax residency, healthcare, banking, investing. Get answers from members in your city, not a travel blog.

Build Friendships

No group chats with 10,000 strangers. Real friendships with people you'll sit across from at dinner next month.

Familiarization Tours

Go Before You Commit

Close the spreadsheet. Skip the YouTube rabbit hole. Each trip is 5–8 days on the ground with a small group of members making the same decision you are. Walk the neighborhoods, test the costs, meet people who already live there. Every trip is organized by a vetted local partner.

City Chapters

Meet in Person. Every Month.

Monthly dinners in cities where our members already live. No agenda decks. No keynote speakers. Just a small table of people who made the move and are figuring out the rest together.

Hey, I'm Eric 👋

I spent over a decade in corporate America, most of it at Amazon in California. Excellent salary, good title, golden handcuffs. When I hit my 40s, I walked away from all of it to live in Thailand on my own terms.

For years I told myself "one more year". I read every blog, watched every YouTube video, lurked every Reddit thread. None of it gave me the confidence to actually do it. Because the real questions weren't about savings or spending rates. They were about what happens after you quit your job and land in a new country. And nobody I knew had done it.

My friends didn't get it. My family thought I was throwing away a good career. Online, the only communities I could find were either digital nomads moving around every month or older retirees with pensions.

I didn't want another Facebook group with 20,000 spammers. I wanted a small room of people who can or did actually pull the trigger. Nothing existed for people like me. People pursuing financial independence with a plan to live abroad. People who wanted to have an honest conversation about tax residency, cost of living, and what life actually looks like after the leap.

So I built it. FIRE Abroad is monthly dinners, scouting trips, online rooms, and real data from members on the ground. Not a blog. Not a forum. A genuine community.

We're early. Chapters are forming in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Mexico City. If this sounds like the community you've been looking for, now is the time to join. It's still small enough that you'll know everyone in the room.

P.S. I also deleted my LinkedIn. The ultimate "F you" to the corporate world. See you on the other side.
